Is it against the law if you have film of an officer and you put it on the net or TV? Do you have to get?

film news
? fe††???d asked:

permission or a waiver. The film is not flattering. In fact, they will look like an incompetent person with a badge. Let’s say I have a video of a cop getting a massage in the same place he busted quite a few people from town. If I “leaked” it to the news, would I have the jerk with a badge after me or their department?

Our fledgling film industry?

film news
Queen B asked:

Hey all..winning the oscar for Tsotsi and getting a nomination last year for Yesterday was great, but I just read in the Pretoria News that local film makers find it difficult to get funds for their films and also to get to distribute it is a bit of a hassle..what do you think can be done to help to get the stories out there - the good films that make a difference in peoples lives? And no negativity please..

Isn’t it great that UK schools have to warn pupils before they show Al Gore’s film about Global Warming?

film news
Doc Adams asked:

“Schools will have to issue a warning before they show pupils Al Gore’s controversial film about global warming, a judge indicated yesterday.

The move follows a High Court action by a father who accused the Government of ‘brainwashing’ children with propaganda by showing it in the classroom.

Stewart Dimmock said the former U.S. Vice-President’s documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, is unfit for schools because it is politically biased and contains serious scientific inaccuracies and ’sentimental mush’.

He wants the video banned after it was distributed with four other short films to 3,500 schools in February.

Mr Justice Burton is due to deliver a ruling on the case next week, but yesterday he said he would be saying that Gore’s Oscar-winning film does promote ‘partisan political views’.

This means that teachers will have to warn pupils that there are other opinions on global warming and they should not necessarily accept the views of the film.”

Why did the protestors at RNC vandalize the cars & buidlings?

film news
Wolfpacker asked:

After watching the news films of the Democrats (wearing Obama shirts to identify) protesting in St Paul, I am confused as to the blatant disregard for the law. They fought with the police, broke windows, vandalized cars & even stole - how is this a good political statement.
They were embarrassing to watch - out of control & seemed to feel justified in their behavior. Why??
