Does 3D Films in the cinema Lose quality? Advice AVATAR 3D! HELPPPPPPPPPP?
KingLukie asked:
I’m debating wether or not to watch the new Avatar film in standard or 3D. Personally never watched a 3D film at the cinema so wanted some advice! Will watching it in 3D lose quality like sharpness, colour etc. or will it be just as good quality as 2D but with the added 3D viewing.

Well in the theaters they use polarized 3d. If you have ever seen a 3d movie on television it was anaglyph 3d that uses the red and blue glasses which is not very good. The polarized 3d at theaters is much better. Now polarized 3d does make the movie a little darker. That is because the lenses have to block and unblock images so each eye only gets one image of the Double images. Acting like weak sunglasses. Now Roger Ebert a film critic said that Cameron the director of the film did make the movie a little brighter like in the night scenes to compensate for that. So really the movie should look good in 3d. Just realize that Cameron really put a lot of effort into the 3d on this movie, so the 3d should look really sharp and well done. His whole purpose was to do the movie in 3d, he meant it to be seen that way.
