Which is cheaper to produce, 3D or Live Action films?
Wfire3 asked:
I just finished a movie script and am considering which production route to take. I`m working on script breakdown at the moment and am thinking how to get the most out of my budget. The movie will have a lot of scenes, characters, extras, props, stunts and special effects so I`m thinking that machinima might be the way to go.

A first time director b(like Michael Bay who made Transformers) worked on a movie with a $19m budget [Bad Boys in 1995]. Of course that was before Will smith made “Independence Day”

Peter Jackson [who directed Lord of The Rings] 2nd movie with the undiscovered Kate Winslet was made for $5m in 1994 [Heavenly Creatures]. It was partly his ability to make such a good movie for $5m that got him the job of directing Lord of the Rings.
